The friends, volunteers, and supporters of Shallowford House are known collectively as ‘Helping Hands’ and are a vital part of the ministry here. ‘Helping Hands’ creates opportunities for people to become practically involved in supporting the day-to-day running of the House and there are suggested areas of practical involvement including gardening, baking, welcoming, decorating and other skills people may have to offer.
There are several times in the year when we come together to work, pray and socialise. They include our Volunteer Working Parties, Open gardens, and prayer gatherings. We would love anyone to join this growing worthwhile ministry, caring for our Retreat House and gardens. If you feel able to contribute in some way then please download the leaflet below, or contact the office by phone or email.
The next Garden Working Party is 8th – 11th April.
