Shallowford House is a stunning 19th– century building that was given to the Diocese of Lichfield by the Webster family in 1938 to be used as a training and retreat centre. Set in beautiful countryside in the middle of the diocese, it is accessible as a central meeting venue for many different purposes. Our aim is to provide an excellent Christian venue for day or residential conferences, training events, retreats, meetings or social events. The house and grounds offer you space to meet with God, and along with our strong focus on hospitality and warmth of the welcome, we hope you will benefit greatly from your time spent at Shallowford House.
The house can accommodate residential groups of up to 40 guests and day conferences of up to 60. Accommodation is in single, twin or double ensuite bedrooms. There are also two outdoor marquees that can be used in the warmer months.
The house is set within 9 acres of secluded gardens, woodland and meadows in the Staffordshire countryside. Located just 3 miles from the M6 (Junction 14), Shallowford is easily accessible from all parts of the country.
The Chief Operations, Business and Maintenance Manager, Simon Hudson has been at Shallowford House since August 2010. Together with the staff team, they offer a warm welcome to all who visit the house.
