Volunteer at Shallowford House

At the heart of Shallowford House is a wonderful community of friends, volunteers and supporters known as Helping Hands. They are a vital part of the life and ministry of the House, offering their time, skills and care to help create a place of welcome, prayer, beauty and renewal for all who visit.

Volunteering at Shallowford is about more than tasks. It is about belonging and shared purpose; working alongside others and contributing to a place where people encounter rest, hospitality and God’s presence.

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to offer your gifts and abilities. Volunteers help in areas such as:

  • Gardening and outdoor care
  • Decorating and light practical projects
  • Front of house and hospitality
  • Prayerful support and community gatherings
  • Financial giving

Whether you enjoy practical work, people-facing roles, or quieter behind-the-scenes contributions, there is a place for you here.
